Class of 2016!

A few weeks ago I graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public and Community Health!  It was sad to end this chapter of my life, but I am really looking forward to the future, and all that it will bring.

This is what a college student looks like coming home from school every day: Eating breakfast and lunch in the car, professional dress for endless presentations, portfolio in hand, and exhausted from group meetings and reviewing for exams!

The entire Community Health department!  Our department held a nice reception at the Health building before the College of Science and Health convocation began.

The most loving husband

And most supportive parents

THE Mary Brown!  Hands down the best educator out there.  She dedicates ALL her time to her students, and is so passionate about health.  I hope she enjoyed having me in her classes 5 semesters in a row! haha ;)

Side note:  I haven't changed my last name because of applying for visas for Ghana/Scotland etc. which is sad :( but I'm kind of glad I graduated as a Pace, because the announcer had no problem saying it, and I just know Schenewark would have been butchered reeeaal bad... lol

Celeste and I were actually on UVU's dance team together our freshman year, and ended up in the same major later on!

Countless classes (and good old summer school) with Megan.  Sweetest girl ever!

Kim, Shalom, and Gina.  We had many classes together but Capstone was the best!

Hope and I both got married our senior year so we always had so much fun talking wedding plans!

Tori is so cute and was in my Program Implementation and Eval. group.  I wish I could have gotten pictures with everyone!

And Lynley, who was my international health teacher, and a big inspiration to me.  She is so compassionate, has traveled everywhere, and has the best stories.  We are actually going to Ghana together in less than two weeks, and I just know it will be a blast with her there!

I'm missing pictures with a few more professors and students, but I'm glad I got at least a few of all the people who helped to shape me to who I am now.  I'm so grateful for UVU!  It really lived up to it's motto: "Engaged Learning", through all of the projects we did in the community, work we did with non-profit organizations, conferences I was able to attend, small class sizes, and group work with amazing peers.  I actually left UVU to attend a different school after my freshman year, but came back after 2 semesters because I missed this style of learning.  UVU was the perfect school for me, and I wouldn't trade these last four years for anything!

So many exciting changes are happening all so soon! In just 3 weeks we are done with the semester and I will be graduating  from college! The day after we are moving to San Diego for the summer.  Beach every day baby! Also, if any Vegas or Utah people want to visit, you are more than welcome. We have a few fun plans for this summer, but we will mostly be working a lot and saving money. Yesterday we found out that Tanner has been officially accepted to work for the Scotish parliament this fall! He has been wanting to do this all through out college, and I can't believe it's almost here. I am so proud of him! How funny is this picture Tann whipped up?

It has been a while since the last blog, so here are a few updates:

I cut off all my hair! This was the picture I sent to my mom and sister's group text haha

Tanner and I participated in the ISI conference in Salt Lake. It was fun to meet so many college students from all over the country, and have a nice little stay-cation.

Tanner is constantly making me laugh (wearing my headband, above) and keeping me sane this semester. He is an amazing husband! This Sunday is our 6 month marriage anniversary and it really does just keep getting better and better.
Also, this Easter he made the cutest little scavenger hunt for me "The Amazing Race" themed.

Tann always brings his glove to baseball games and this was his lucky night because he caught a ball and got a standing ovation! It was such a fun moment I'll always remember.

Free pancake day at ihop. Poor Tanner is always surrounded by so many girls when we hang out with my family haha I have been taking so many dance classes with my sisters lately. It has been super rare that most of my siblings and I have lived in Utah all together this past year, but it has been so fun! It won't be like this when we get back, so I'm trying to soak up every moment.

And this is what I get when I ask him to smile with his award... So cute haha

My spring break this year was spent putting together my professional portfolio and working, but one day we got to go on a hike together up rock canyon.

The weather has finally warmed up. After a long winter I always feel so proud and emotional like " you did it, you can do anything now" haha we have been having lots of picnics, going to the park a lot, and going on lots of runs. Today we ran to Zupas, got dinner and walked back. Utah looks beautiful right now, and it was such a fun date. I'm so excited for all these upcoming adventures and travels with my love. Happy 6 months Tanner. I love you! ❤️😘

Be Mine.

I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day! Life has been pretty great lately and I'm pretty sure that 80% of the reason is because it is warming up outside! Haha sunshine and heat make me happy. I've spent the last 4 years trying to convince myself I like the cold weather/snow and that winter is "so fun" but I have come to terms that I will always be a summer girl and I pray that wherever T and I end up, it'll be somewhere warm.

Last month we got to see the new Provo City Center Temple. I thought it was so beautiful and unique!

Utah produced a magical snow day (these are the snow days I like... Once a year lol) so we took advantage of it and had some fun by building a snowman and going sledding!

Family of 3

I finally got to meet Tanner's grandparents, as they flew in for the weekend from Boston! I love them!! They are so cute and we had a fun afternoon with them, Ben, Joy, and their kids. I didn't know when we would be able to make it out to Boston next, so it was such a blessing they came in and I got to meet them! How cute is this picture of grampy and Josh playing video games? Before they started grampy said "I'm gonna kick your pants." I think it was his first time playing haha

Tanner has been playing a lot of basketball lately with an intramural team as well as our ward. I've gone to quite a few of his games and love cheering him on. He always blows me kisses from the court.

He is such a romantic, so this was by far the best Valentine's Day I've ever had! Last year we both worked, and barely had begun dating, so we wanted to make this year fun! We decided that we're going to switch off planing Valentine's weekend every year. This year was Tanner's! We were so excited that we exchanged gifts two days early Ooops!

We ended up babysitting the cutest baby in our ward (seriously he takes 1st place) last minute, but after, Tanner surprised me and we went to a new sushi restaurant I had been wanting to try and then went to a contemporary dance concert. After we got cold stone with some Christmas gift cards we had and watched a chick flick. Isn't he the best?

For president's day we went on a hike with my sister's and my sister's roommate in midway. We hiked Dutch hollow and it was such a fun and bright day. After we went to lunch with Emmie.

Some other highlights of this month include seeing BYU's ballet Alice in Wonderland that my cousin choreographed, my old roommate Monica coming into town and hanging out with the old crew, going on a rock climbing date with a fun couple in our ward, going to yoga, playing volleyball with Tanner's friends, and going to my other cousin's baby shower yesterday! Also Tanner and I have been obsessed with board and card games lately. Almost every night we play a round of phase 10 or something.

I love this boy!!!
